Shaquille Browne also known as Ess B was born on August 4th, 1994. He is a Canadian national with parents of Caribbean roots, his mother being Vincentian and his father Barbadian. He came to the lovely islands of St. Vincent & the Grenadines to live with his grandfather, his wife and their six children due to the passing of his mother at the tender age of three since his father was not a part of his life.
Ess B’s first love was sports, but more specifically cricket. He has represented SVG at the under-15, under 19 and senior level, the Windward Islands at the under 15 and under 19 level, West Indies under 16 and the University of the West Indies Cave Hill Campus where he is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Science. He also represented St. Vincent & the Grenadines in track and field at the famous Penn Relays, played soccer and volleyball.

Despite being heavily involved in sport, he always had a love and passion for music. He started off performing in high school, other events and at hotels with a variety of genres such as R&B, Hip Hop, Reggae and Soca. In 2018, Ess B decided to enter the national Ragga Soca competition with a song entitled “Remote Control” then in 2019 he returned to the soca semi- final arena and appeared at the national Soca Monarch competition as a guest artiste with a song called “Woman Island”. He also enjoys playing the drums and other musical instruments.

On August 1st, 2020 (Emancipation Day) he made his latest release with a song entitled “Make The Change”. It was in light of the Black Lives Matter campaign and also to encourage those of African descent to appreciate where they came from and not be dismayed by what others may think or say. He believes that black people are powerful people and attain the capabilities to change the world. He also encourages those of African decent to soar for their dreams because anything is possible with a little faith; once you believe, you can achieve, and you will receive.
Furthermore, he wishes for his music to be on the international platform and to collaborate with not only local but regional and international producers/artiste and to express himself in other genres of music, especially R&B and Hip Hop.
